On 30 October 2025, a meeting of the ED 1.15 Dissertation Council operating at the Institute of Catalysis and Inorganic Chemistry named after Academician M. Nagiyev of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan was held. Of the 21 members of the Dissertation Council, 19 were present at the meeting.
At the meeting, the dissertation entitled “Physicochemical Bases for obtaining copper and silver chalcogenides with p³-elements and functional phases based on them”, submitted in specialty 2303.01 – Inorganic Chemistry for the degree of Doctor of Sciences in Chemistry, by the Institute’s doctoral candidate, PhD in Chemistry, Associate Professor Leyla Farhad Mashadiyeva, was discussed.
The applicant delivered a presentation outlining the brief content of the dissertation, its relevance, scientific novelty, and practical significance. This was followed by detailed reports from the appointed opponents: Academician Adil Garibov, Advisor of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences; Professor Ozbek Aliyev, Doctor of Chemical Sciences, Chief Researcher at the Institute of Catalysis and Inorganic Chemistry named after Academician M. Nagiyev; Professor Tofiq Aliyev, Doctor of Chemical Sciences, Corresponding Member of ANAS and Director of the Institute of Natural Resources of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan; and Professor Mykola Volodymyrovych Moroz, Doctor of Chemical Sciences, Head of the Department of Chemistry and Physics at the National University of Water and Environmental Engineering (Ukraine).
Following the discussion by the members of the Council, a secret (electronic) vote was conducted. Based on the voting results, the Chairman of the ED 1.15 Dissertation Council, Academician Dilgam Taghiyev, officially announced the final decision.
